KUAT recently took the opportunity to honor some very special young people along with their families. The awards event for the 10th annual Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators contest took place at the U o fA Poetry Center, and proved to be quite a hit with everyone in attendance.

For the past 10 years KUAT has sponsored the Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators contest in Southern Arizona. The event is a component of KUAT's Ready to Learn program, and an important part of our overall mission to promote literacy among our young people.
