Cold Martian Nights
Good news from Phoenix — May 27, 2008
The first night on Mars, the Phoenix Lander experienced a low of around -112 degrees Fahrenheit. Believe it or not, what happens at night has plenty to do with the science that can be done during the day. Data just recently sent back from the spacecraft to engineers at Lockheed Martin in Denver, Colorado was good news to mission team members.
