Phoenix Lands
Mars lander sending images from surface — May 26, 2008
It appears scientists got what they were looking for, signs of ice that could indicate a history of life on Mars. As the Mars lander began beaming down images of the surface yesterday. This image shows a polygonal pattern in the ground near NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander, similar in appearance to icy ground in the arctic regions of Earth.
One journey has ended, another has begun, and a new generation dreams of the final frontier. Kim Craft reports.
