A verdant blanket of flowers across the Sonora Desert is the result of good winter rains keeping soil moist since last November-- a rarity since this area is in the midst of a drought. Producer Luis Carrion talks with George Montgomery, Curator of Botany at the Arizona Desert Museum, about what makes this such an outstanding year for wildflowers.
