Southwest Books of the Year

December 10, 2008

Two of the six judges in the 32nd Annual Southwest Books of the Year Contest discuss this year's top picks.

The judges examined hundreds of books published about the southwest in 2008. If more than one judge considers the book as a top pick, the book becomes one of the Southwest Books of the Year. This year there are a dozen top picks.

Arizona Illustrated host Bill Buckmaster talks with David Laird, a long-time book collector and seller and Bruce Dinges, Ph.D., Director of Publications for the Arizona Historical Society.
